From the 3rd January 2012 tighter regulations on vehicle emissions will be enforced within the M25 boundary by Transport For London (TFL). From 3 January 2012, larger vans, minibuses and other specialist diesel vehicles will be affected by the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) for the first time.
If you own this type of vehicle, it must meet certain emissions standards to be driven within the LEZ without paying a daily charge. It doesn't matter whether your vehicle is used for commercial or private purposes - it will still need to meet the standards. For more information call us or go to the TFL website.
Vehicles that will not meet LEZ emissions standards in 2012 are as follows:
All Large Vans, 4x4 Light Utility Vehicles, Pick ups and other specialist vehicles that carry a gross weight of 3.5 tonnes and that are registered as new before 1 January 2002
Minibuses with more than 8 passenger seats, with a 5 tonne or less gross vehicle weight, registered as new before 1 January 2002
Lorries, Refuse Collection Vehicles, Tippers, Recovery Vehicles and Removal Vehicles that carry more than 3.5 tonnes gross weight, registered as new before 1 October 2006
Call Surrey Van Centre on 0208 665 9494 for our available stock or to make a request for vehicle type and price range and we will do our best to help
If your vehicle is a 51 plate or older then this affects you. So act now while your vehicle is still worth something!
